Mississippi hunters are allowed to hunt alligators on public lands from August 30 – September 9. If you are on private land, you can hunt through September      23.

Alligators are found all over the state of Mississippi with the majority of them in bottom 2/3 of the state below Hwy 82. For the most part, alligators avoid      humans but there have been cases where they have caused conflicts.
