A missing 61 year old man in Gaston County, North Carolina has been found after he walked out of the woods Monday morning near where he disappeared on Sunday evening.
Tim Robinson was greeted with hugs from his wife when he walked out of the woods and into a nearby car. He was still carrying a bucket and several fishing poles from Sunday.
Officials said Robinson was fishing Sunday afternoon with his friend. When he left the pond around 8pm, the friend told police Robinson was nowhere to be found.
He says he took some pain medication Sunday afternoon and fell asleep. Robinson said what woke him up this morning was the sound of a police helicopter circling above him.
Police spotted the empty car an hour later, found his friend and called in search and rescue crews.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol helicopter arrived around 5am Monday to search the area from the sky.
Ofiicials searched through the night, but had little success finding the man until he walked out of the woods Monday morning.
